TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)

TOEFL (Test Of English As a Foreign Language) sınavı ana dili İngilizce olmayanların Amerikan İngilizcesi bilgisini ölçmek amacıyla, Amerika’da New Jersey Eyaletinde bulunan Educational Testing Service (ETS) tarafından dünyanın pek çok merkezinde düzenlenen bir sınavdır.

TOEFL Sınavı dünya genelinde İngilizce dilinde eğitim veren yaklaşık 4300 kolej ve üniversite tarafından lisans, yüksek lisans ve doktora programlarına ana dili İngilizce olmayan öğrencileri kabul kriteri olarak kullanılır. Ayrıca, dünya genelinde pek çok kurum, organizasyon ve şirket iş başvurusunda TOEFL sınavından alınan iyi bir puanı İngilizce Yeterlilik belgesi olarak kabul eder.

TOEFL sınavına, İngilizce eğitim veren bir üniversite, kolej veya enstitüde eğitim yapmak isteyenler girmelidir. Ayrıca, İngilizce dil bilgisini uluslar arası geçerliliği olan bir belge ile kanıtlamak isteyen herkes bu sınava girebilir.
